Find your inner sea hag with this indulgent, all-natural, sea salt soap inspired by maritime legends and my new favorite series Widow's Bay.

She's a salty witch, misunderstood and harboring a dark history of luring men to danger and sinking tall ships but she intends to change her ways and help those who need it most, carrying her oceanic gifts of sea salt, mineral-rich kelp and sea clays in her wake for the weary land-dweller. Use this luxurious sea salt soap in a cleansing and energizing water ritual that will leave your skin feeling silky and refreshed thanks to the peppermint, eucalyptus and rosemary essential oils but don't forget to thank the sea hag for her offerings or she just might pull you out to sea.

There is, one knows not what sweet mystery about this sea, whose gently awful stirrings seem to speak of some hidden soul beneath." - Moby Dick

What is a sea salt soap bar?

A true sea salt soap bar contains at least 50% sea salt to the weight of the oils. This makes for an incredibly hard, long‑lasting, and gently exfoliating soap, offering both cleansing and skin‑nourishing benefits. In this specific recipe, I've added sea kelp and French Green Clay which is often called "Sea Clay' since it was formed from ancient marine sediments and other natural deposits.

Proudly made without:

What is Cold Process Soap?

Cold process soap is made from scratch with lye and oils, giving full control over every ingredient, but it requires lye safety precautions and a 4–6 week cure before the bars are ready while melt and pour soap is pre-made soap base that is melted, customized, re-molded and is ready to use the same day.

Unlike melt and pour, which relies on a pre-made commercial base, cold process lets the maker hand-select skin-nourishing oils, customize fatty acid profiles, and avoid synthetic detergents or extra surfactants often baked into commercial bases. it requires careful calculation and measuring of every ingredient to make a successful batch.

Cold process soap makes for a harder, denser bar that lasts longer in the shower.
